Most people who come across government jobs are actually interested in working for the government. Unfortunately, it is easy to fall for the government jobs scam and then be ripped off. Here are some tips that will help you avoid getting into this situation:

o Do not believe everything that you read. Most articles written about government job scams have already been broken by other websites. A quick check of Google News will give you a chance to get more accurate and up-to-date information on government jobs scams.

o Do not submit your resume to any government job scams. The information contained in resumes is usually incorrect and therefore most of it will not be used by potential employers. You will only end up wasting your time and resources by sending out resumes that are not going to be used.

o Do not submit an application for any government job scams. These are bogus sites that are simply running advertisements. They will not answer your questions or even provide any information to you.

o Avoid contacting government job scams directly. The way that these scams operate is by giving you a message that states that they have a “wanted” ad up for you in a newspaper or online. Then they send you an email or offer you a phone call.

At this point, it’s time to take the name off the wanted posters and stop receiving the calls. It may be that you should contact the newspaper or online site owner and tell them that the advertisement is fake. You can do this directly or you can simply contact the Better Business Bureau or the Federal Trade Commission and let them know that you don’t want to work for them.

You should also consider the warning signs that someone would use to try to convince you otherwise. If the site is saying that it has a “wanted” ad and you don’t receive an email or a phone call, you might want to start looking around to find out where the scam site is located. Other things that you should look for are a “wanted” ad that is not the same size as other “wanted” ads, a pay rate that does not include bonuses or commission, and not receiving a copy of the contract that details what you will do once you start working for the company.

o In addition to avoiding government job scams, you should also avoid using the Internet to look for a job. If a company uses an online application process to post a job, then you should not do so as well. Be sure to ask if the company accepts applications as well.

You should also beware of a company that offers to let you apply for jobs with them and through them. These companies will probably ask you to pay to apply for the jobs. Make sure that the company you sign up with does not charge you to apply or to become a part of their employee group.

o Once you have started looking for government job scams, you should also check your bank account and credit card bills. This is because the type of job that you get will depend a lot on how much money you have. Some people will have a difficult time getting a government job, simply because they don’t have enough money to be hired.

o Finally, you should do your best to avoid any government job scams that you see. This is especially true if they are offering free business cards or other kinds of incentives. These are often attempting to lure people into joining their programs for free but, unfortunately, they are generally scams.

As you can see, government job scams are quite common. But because they happen so frequently, many people lose sight of the fact that they have indeed fallen fora government jobs scam. If you have fallen for one of these scams, you can still take a number of steps to get out of it.
